Docta Flow becomes the first Ghanaian and African tipped for IRAWMA’s Best 5 Songs Contest Finalist


Ghanaian Musician and Producer, Docta Flow has blown the minds of the world by becoming the only Ghanaian and African to make it to the 40th anniversary of International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) final Best five songs contest.

Docta Flow’s ‘IRAWMA STRONG’ will be the only Ghana and Africa song to battle it out with “Not A Grammy It’s IRAWMA Awards” by Black Spade from Jamaica, “Legendary” by Jaymon from USA, “IRAWMA 4Oth Reggae Love Song” by Dainjah Rush from Jamaica/American and “Big Up IRAWMA Not a Drama” by History Man from Jamaica.

The official final top 5 Best Songs and Artists around the world was revealed on Saturday, 15th April, 2023.

Voting to select IRAWMA Best Song 2023 contest starts on Monday, April 17th at 6am on the official IRAWMA YouTube channel.

The 40th hosting IRAWMA, reggae, and world music’s biggest music night of honor, takes place on Sunday, May 7th at the legendary Pegasus Hotel in Kingston, Jamaica with the red carpet rolling out at 6:00pm with a reception, and the awards showcase at 7:00pm with performances and acceptance speeches by some of the reggae/ world music’s best.
