Dear Honourable Gloria Owusu,
CONCERNS REGARDING RECENT BEHAVIOR.
I write to express deep concern regarding your recent behavior in Parliament and on public platforms. Your actions have raised serious questions about your conduct as a representative of the people of Trobu Constituency.
First, your decision to physically block an MP from leaving the chamber after being asked to do so by the Speaker is unbecoming of an elected official. Such behavior undermines the dignity of Parliament and sets a bad precedent for future interactions among MPs.
Secondly, your recent appearance on Asempa FM, where you made unsubstantiated claims against the Hon. Dr. Hanna Louisa Bissiw – Kotei, the Administrator of the Minerals Development Fund (MDF) is troubling. Spreading falsehoods about a public official can damage their reputation and credibility, and reflects poorly on you and your constituency.
Your actions have the potential to embarrass and undermine the trust of the people of Trobu Constituency, whom you have been elected to serve. As their representative, it is essential that you maintain a level of decorum and respect in your interactions with colleagues and other public officials.
I urge you to reflect on your behavior and consider the impact it has on your constituents and the broader public.
I request that :
1.You conduct yourself with dignity – Ensure that your actions in Parliament and on public platforms reflect positively on Trobu Constituency and uphold the standards expected of an elected official.
2.Verify information before speaking – Take care to verify the accuracy of information before making public statements, and refrain from communication that is biased, distorted, or tainted by prejudice or negativity especially those that could harm the reputation of others.
3.Apologize and make amends – Consider apologizing to Hon. Hannah Bissue Kotei for any harm caused by your statements, and work towards making amends.
I believe your attitude does not represent Trobu Constituency with integrity and dignity. I hope that you will take these concerns seriously and strive to improve your behavior in the future.
