Akatamanso Health Team Weekly Health Discussion’ The NDC Cares DIABETES

Overview

*Type 1 *: Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease. The immune system attacks and destroys cells in the pancreas, where insulin is made. Research is yet to determine the exact causes of type 1 diabetes.
